Buyers and sellers on DEPOP are nothing short of fashion icons, curating outfits down to it’s stitches and collecting pieces that are one of a kind. Their talent hasn’t been celebrated traditionally, and it’s time to change that.
DEPOP will host an exclusive fashion event in the London Underground for DEPOP's most dedicated buyers and sellers. Why the tube? It’s already where Depop-ers are sporting their style.
Promotion for the event will start with one big ad to spark curiosity in Picadilly Circus (a british shopping center)
Discussion will continue online with streetwear influencers and forums like reddit where Depop users are active.
After that, we will see QR codes on the street that take you to official party invites.
Next, posters with various details about the event will be posted around London, urging consumers to track down the information. Interviewers at fashion events often ask the question “Who are you wearing?” with models and celebrities responding with a high-end brand. DEPOP users can answer in a special way, as pieces of clothing are bought from specific individuals on the site.
That is when we will also see Depop usernames + images in advertisements to build excitement.
The night of the event The London Underground will be transformed into a red carpet event. Users will get their photos taken, engage in PR interviews, and meet up with their fashion icons (each other.)
Mingling and hor dourves will be served, but let’s be honest, the focus is on the fashion.
